At Twerton it is our intent to provide a curriculum that is engaging, creative and relevant for the learners in our school.
The wider curriculum in Key Stage One is mapped out in a two yearly cycle. Children engage in a different topic every term so that over the course of the two years of KS1, 12 different topics are covered. Each foundation subject is taught explicitly to ensure thorough coverage of the curriculum and to enable progression of skills. The two year programme builds on knowledge and ensures learners gain subject specific vocabulary.
