Our school believes that Play is fundamentally important to all our children. In October 2018 we embarked on a programme called OPAL ‘Outdoor Play and Learning’ and over the subsequent months have developed both our outdoor space and the play opportunities we offer.

To lead these developments we have a Play Team:

• Mike Sawyer (Caretaker)

As part of the consultation process for we listened to all those involved; children, teachers, parents and our Governing body.

In March 2019 we developed a new Play Policy: TWI – Play Policy March 2019 and we also recruited and appointed a new Play Co-ordinator (Job Description: Play Coordinator Role Description).
