In Foundation 2 (Reception) we aim to develop respect for others, social competence and a positive disposition to learn.

We aim to promote good social skills by providing opportunities that enable the children to learn how to co-operate and work harmoniously and to listen to one another. We aim to give the children a good grounding in the basic skills of Literacy and Numeracy to enable them to have a positive start in Key Stage 1.

We aim to develop the children’s confidence, build on what they already know and extend their skills.

We offer well planned play that allows children to learn with enjoyment, challenge and that follows the children’s interests. We provide a purposeful, exciting learning environment both inside and outside the classroom.
