Ash Class – Reception

Ava was able to write captions that were dictated by Mr Kenny. Ava used a sound mat to help her find the write graphemes (letters) for the sounds in each word.

Ava always has a fantastic attitude to her learning. Well done!

Chestnut – Year 1

James has written a clear set of instructions to make a fruit kebab. He has only used one ingredient, but you can experiment with other fruits!

James used a sound mat to check that he was using the right grapheme (letter) to represent the sound when writing words.

Well done Chef James!

Rowan – Year 1

Chloe has been very busy at home writing her own version of two of the stories she has been learning in class ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘The Three Fluffy Sheep Ella Bella!’ based on ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’.

Chlose has remembered all of the story from beginning to end and included lots of amazing story language like ‘Once upon a time’ and ‘Early one morning’. Chloe has also used lots of adjectives to make the story more interesting such as ‘deep’ ‘dark’ and ‘fluffy’. Miss Goodwin is very impressed with her independent story writing, and so are we!

Well done Chloe!
